Moving What Mountain?

By Tal Robin & Asher Intrater

With faith and prayer all things are possible.  One of the most inspiring verses about the power of faith and prayer is Mark 11:23-24: Whoever says to this mountain, "Be removed and cast into the sea" and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will come to pass, so will it be… Whatever you ask in prayer – believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

This universal spiritual principle can be used in all aspects of life, from small to large. We can use it to get a parking spot (actually on the streets of Jerusalem or Tel Aviv that can be quite a miracle).  But there are mountains much more significant and prophetic than a parking space.

What did Yeshua mean when He said, "This" mountain? At the time He was standing in Jerusalem near the Temple "mount."  He was also in the midst of a confrontation with the religious leaders over the claim of His spiritual authority and about His cleansing the Temple.

Yeshua's statement about the mountain is likely a reference to Zechariah 4:6 – Who are you Great Mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become a plain. This prophecy declared the removing of all obstacles before Zerubbabel as he worked to restore the kingdom of God in Jerusalem.  That may be the ultimate meaning of Yeshua's mountain-moving faith prayer: To remove all obstacles to the restoring of the kingdom of God in Jerusalem.

Isaiah 2:2-4 also refers to the kingdom of God as a mountain.  Daniel 2:34-35, 44 refer to the great statue of the Antichrist kingdoms being destroyed in the end times by a supernatural rock that then turns into the mountain of the kingdom of God.  Revelation 11:15 states that the last mystery of the plan of God is for the kingdoms of this world to become the kingdom of our Lord.

If we join our faith and prayer together, we can remove all the power of the Antichrist kingdom and see the kingdom of the Lord's house established in our generation.  Let's all "move that mountain" together.

Pater and Patria

By Greta Mavro

There is a profound connection in Greek between the words for "Father" and "Family."

Eph 3:14-15 - I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named.

Father (πατήρ/pater) is the root word for family (πατριά/patria). Patria cannot stand without its root, pater.  The family/patria of God originates, holds together and grows as it is rooted in the Father/Pater. The Family and the Father are inseparable.

Ephesians 4:6 - One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in
you all…

Paul bows his knees to the Pater of Yeshua (Jesus), who is also our Pater, and from whom the whole patria in heaven and earth is named.  We are linked in sonship with Messiah.  The Father of our Lord Yeshua is the God and Father of us all.  The whole human race has one common origin.   In Acts 17:26 Paul the Apostle proclaims that God made of "one blood" all nations of men.

Shaheed

Recently two Arab Israeli girls, Hadil (14) and Nurhan (16) Awad, finished school in the afternoon and headed to the Mahane Yehuda marketplace in Jerusalem. Then they pulled out their "weapons," a pair of scissors.  In an absurd scene, they stabbed an innocent passerby and then turned to "attack" an armed Israeli border guard.  They were shot on the spot, Nurhan seriously wounded and Hadil killed.

Both girls had Israeli citizenship, receiving the rights of Israeli health care, court systems, elections, transportation, social services, etc.  They were not oppressed and under-privileged.  How could they do such an act?

Classic Palestinian terrorism started in the 1970's in order to gain attention to the PLO political agenda.  The efforts of ISIS have gone much beyond terror and are more properly termed "Jihad" - their goal is to impose an Islamic State all over the world.  It is more apocalyptic than political.

Yet Hadil's and Nurhan's actions were neither terror nor Jihad; they didn't advance any real agenda.  They had only one goal: to go to "heaven."  These girls had been so brainwashed that they believed that if they could get an Israeli policeman to kill them, they would earn immediate entrance to paradise.

The act was suicidal, intentionally suicidal.  Their motive was to be a Shaheed – martyr.  Thankfully, some of the parents and relatives in the Arab Israeli community are starting to come out and protest against the education and peer pressure that is causing such sick behavior.

Update from China and France

France

Youval and Malek have been in Toulouse, France for a week of ministry.  Youval has been sharing four hours a day in a seminar with about 50 students on the topics of the holidays of Israel, the church and the end times.

The first day Youval and Malek participated in a meeting where Youval taught on the kingdom of God and the calling of Ishmael and Isaac; and Malek shared his testimony, which touched many.  Afterwards they entered into a time of prayer together where the presence of God was tangible. The simple fact that a Jew and an Arab come together in the love of Yeshua is a strong testimony in itself.

Asia

Ariel, Tal, Jeremiah, and Cody are having a fruitful trip through Asia. They will be in Hong Kong this weekend before returning on Dec 8th. Here is an update video from Ariel about their time in South Korea. To watch in English, click HERE!

Bread and Wine (part 2)

In this second part of a two part teaching about the bread and the wine in the Lord's Supper Asher speaks of the meaning of the wine being the blood of Yeshua. What do we truly declare when we take the wine in communion? To watch in English, please click HERE!
