God’s Prophetic Timetable

The U.S. decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel came exactly 500 years after the Reformation (1517) and 100 years after the Balfour Declaration (1917). The Balfour declaration came at the end of World War I and stated that Great Britain wanted to establish a Jewish homeland in ancient Judea.

His Majesty’s government view with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people, and will use their best endeavours to facilitate the achievement of this object, it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine, or the rights and political status enjoyed by Jews in any other country.

In addition, the Trump declaration came exactly 50 years after Jerusalem was reunited (1967) during the Six Day War. While we do not know when the actual Jubilee year should be, it is amazing that these four historical and prophetic events came on the 50th year.

Is this what Yeshua meant when He responded to His disciples (after they asked about the restoration of Israel) “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority”? It would appear that God has a set timing for Zion's restoration and we are witnessing it in real time!

Sadly, many bible teachers teach that the disciples were slow of mind in asking this question. John Calvin said of the disciples’ inquiry, “This question has as many problems as it has words.” But Yeshua did not respond as Calvin. He understood that this was the obvious question for any student of the bible.

The disciples were familiar with passages such as Zechariah 14:8-9 which says, “On that day living water will flow out from Jerusalem, half of it east to the Dead Sea and half of it west to the Mediterranean Sea, in summer and in winter. The Lord will be king over the whole earth. On that day there will be one Lord, and his name the only name.”

Or maybe they were thinking of Jeremiah 30:18, “I will restore the fortunes of Jacob’s tents and have compassion on his dwellings; the city will be rebuilt on her ruins, and the palace will stand in its proper place.”

Yes, it was the most obvious question to ask. Each jump in Israel's restoration brings us closer to the Millennial age, when the Messiah will return (Rev. 19:11ff) and fight for Israel (Zech. 14:3-4) and set up His international kingdom in Jerusalem.

The Arab Christian world are aligning with the messianic body in Israel - the prophesied revival and the Isaiah 19 highway is coming.

Last weekend (Dec 14-17) we sent four team members to serve as leaders in a national youth camp called Katzir (Harvest). Three times a year 80-100 Messianic youth from all over the country gather for worship, fellowship, dance, drama and teaching. Through these special gatherings Israel's future leaders are being discipled to serve their generation! In the summer camp 25 youth committed their lives to the Lord - many for the first time! 

Testimony

The group of six guys ages 16-17 that I was assigned to were the - "I'm too cool for this stuff, let's sit in the back row and pretend were not interested" - guys. During our first small group time together, I knew I was under their microscope. They tried pushing my buttons and watched to see how I would react. Could I be trusted? Could they open up to me? I knew that if the Holy Spirit didn’t help me, I was not going to get through to them. Yet through prayer I felt empowered to love and see them as God does. 

Breakthrough came on the second night. During the ministry time God's presence was tangible and the Holy Spirit was moving. Some wept as they repented. Others had tears of joy as they sensed God's love in a new way. As I prayed over a few of my guys I received prophetic words for them.

On the last morning everyone was engaged for the first time. The two guys who took the lead in making my job tough, became the ones telling the others to be quiet and to pay attention! When it came time to say goodbye, I could see in each of their eyes a new desire to seek God and that I had won their respect. 

Please pray for the youth to continue to walk in their renewed passion and fire for the Lord.
