Dear Friend of Revive Israel,

We are nearing the end of ‘Counting the Omer’, the 50 days from Passover until the Feast of Weeks (Shavuot). As believers in Yeshua, we are very aware of its significance- the time between the resurrection and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost.

Yeshua promised His disciples:

“And now I will send the Holy Spirit, just as my Father promised. But stay here in the city until the Holy Spirit comes and fills you with power from heaven.” (Luke 24:49)

Have you ever counted the days until a happening you’re excited about?

Global Online Events in April

passoverWe were honoured to co-host two very unique events that allowed thousands to participate online. The ‘Passover -Holy Alignment’ was broadcasted live just before Passover and gathered both Jew and Gentile around the Lord’s Table.

A participant wrote: “It was powerful, one of the most powerful events I've been part of, not just during this time of isolation, but ever. The Body coming together, One New Man beginning to take shape.  I was SO blessed”.

music“Perfume of the Nations” was an initiative coming from a vision that saw every nation, tribe, and tongue bringing an offering to the feet of Yeshua.  The large gathering in Canada had to be cancelled due to the Covid-19 crisis, so it was decided to do it online instead!

More than 15 different nations were represented in a 72-hour, non-stop praise and worship. From the far east (China, Japan, Korea and more) to the west (Brazil, Canada, US and more) and the middle east (Lebanon, Egypt, Israel). Many joined them on YouTube and Facebook, all to the audience of One: YESHUA!

We felt like Mary, who anointed Yeshua's feet before He was crucified. It was timely – we could lift high the Lamb as Passover was celebrated, not performing, but ‘perfuming’, giving Yeshua our all”, Tal Haroni, one of the initiators, said.

Many other nations requested to join, so we trust Him for similar events in the future.

Covid-18: Bringing life during Covid-19 in Israel

group

Like most countries, Israel is feeling the effects of its economic shutdown. Many Israelis that work from pay-check to pay-check lost their jobs and numerous small businesses had to close. Holocaust survivors and the elderly need food and people to safely bring it to them.

The recent Covid-18 initiative could make a difference in these lives, thanks to your generosity.

Why Covid-18? Eighteen is the numerical value of the Hebrew word “chai” which means “life” and people are encouraged to donate $18 (or more) to bring life and hope to those in need.

Many Philipino workers in Israel lost their jobs and are entirely without income. They are valued caretakers of the elderly, many of them born-again Christians. More than USD3,800.00 was raised so far to provide them with essential living supplies and food vouchers! These and other communities (believers and non-believers) could be blessed.

We can help people even being confined in our homes”, Ron Cantor, one of the organisers said.

Meet Our Japan Team – Yumiko Nakadate

Yumiko

Yumiko has joined our Japan partnership last year as administrator and translator. Currently, she is translating articles, videos, social media as well as Asher’s book ‘Alignment’ in Japanese.

Her grandparents came to faith in Yeshua and became pastors before WWII in Japan. As an 8-year old, she moved with her family to Hawaii, where her father pastored a church. While studying architecture in New York, she met her husband, Katsuhiko, after her faith was restored. God called the couple back to Chiba, Japan, where they now live with their 3 daughters.

After several years of learning the Jewish roots of the Bible, she was asked to assist with Tikkun Japan Partnership, through ‘Hope Church’ where her family serves.

It gives me great joy to study the Bible, share God’s love, and intercede for people around me.  I believe God has great plans for Japan as we work together with Israel and the nations around the world to bring the Great Revival”.

Please join her prayer for unity amongst the believers in Japan and for God to use these epic times to bring many to Him.

Nesher (Eagle project): Discipleship amid lockdown

laptop

During April, meetings with the local team happened via Zoom. It was a time to connect, encourage, and study the Scriptures together.

Nesher is jointly run by Revive Israel and Shavei Tzion, two very different organizations. “The lockdown period gave valuable opportunities for meeting and strengthening cooperation between us. We thank the Lord for progress made but ask for continued prayer for unity”, one leader said.

A local project “40 days of Fire” is currently underway for young adults to go deeper in His presence and in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The aim is to equip them to serve the body of Messiah and those in the streets.

We thank you for your continued prayer for the youth in Israel and over the world.

TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY!
