With faith and prayer all things are possible. One of the most inspiring verses about the power of faith and prayer is Mark 11:23-24: Whoever says to this mountain, “Be removed and cast into the sea” and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will come to pass, so will it be… Whatever you ask in prayer – believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
This universal spiritual principle can be used in all aspects of life, from small to large. We can use it to get a parking spot (actually on the streets of Jerusalem or Tel Aviv that can be quite a miracle). But there are mountains much more significant and prophetic than a parking space.
What did Yeshua mean when He said, “This” mountain? At the time He was standing in Jerusalem near the Temple “mount.” He was also in the midst of a confrontation with the religious leaders over the claim of His spiritual authority and about His cleansing the Temple.
Yeshua’s statement about the mountain is likely a reference to Zechariah 4:6 – Who are you Great Mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become a plain. This prophecy declared the removing of all obstacles before Zerubbabel as he worked to restore the kingdom of God in Jerusalem. That may be the ultimate meaning of Yeshua’s mountain-moving faith prayer: To remove all obstacles to the restoring of the kingdom of God in Jerusalem.
Isaiah 2:2-4 also refers to the kingdom of God as a mountain. Daniel 2:34-35, 44 refer to the great statue of the Antichrist kingdoms being destroyed in the end times by a supernatural rock that then turns into the mountain of the kingdom of God. Revelation 11:15 states that the last mystery of the plan of God is for the kingdoms of this world to become the kingdom of our Lord.
If we join our faith and prayer together, we can remove all the power of the Antichrist kingdom and see the kingdom of the Lord’s house established in our generation. Let’s all “move that mountain” together.
